About the Racer 5K
Background
The Racer 5K began in 2013, with the mission to have a fun morning running throughout our beautiful campus! It has grown yearly with tremendous community support. The funds raised go to supporting Murray State Cross Country, Track and Field programs.

Last Year Recap
2018-2019 was one of the most successful years for Racer Athletics in history, and Murray State Cross Country, and Track and Field Athletes contributed to that accomplishment! Track and Field saw a 2nd place finish during the OVC Indoor Championships. Then, during the OVC Outdoor Championships, the Racer ran away with the competition and took home the title for the first time under OVC Head Coach of the Year, Adam Kiesler.
